Thank you for visiting our web site. Our goal is to provide you with information and education about the various sleep disorders and the best ways of diagnosing and treating them. Our new center in Sarasota was created with the same vision that guided the development of our other centers: to be the best sleep center wherever we locate. During the past twenty years, we have taken care of thousands of patients and helped them achieve better sleep and better health. Our patients tell us that their quality of life greatly improves after being diagnosed and treated at our centers. During my years of involvement with the field of sleep disorders, I have seen significant increase in interest and awareness of sleep disorders among the general public and with the medical community. More research in the field of sleep medicine is being conducted, a trend that I hope will continue. It is now established that obstructive sleep apnea is directly linked to other health concern such as obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, and depression. Poor sleep also leads to increased car accidents and work related injuries. It is estimated that 50% of the population suffers from one or another sleep problem. Yet, despite the knowledge of the risks of untreated sleep problems, only 4% is currently diagnosed and treated. Our goal at Sleepcare Diagnostics is to reach out to people in the community through education and to provide them with updated information that can help them make better decisions about improving the quality of their sleep and their general health.
